Glass Boxes — Solo Exhibition, Antler Gallery
Glass Boxes explores how we contain memory—how we try to preserve and make sense of what is slipping away. The work examines the emotional weight of objects and how the ordinary becomes charged with presence, absence, and grief.
As my mom, Marne—a lifelong artist—declined into Alzheimer’s disease, her work shifted. She began creating pieces enclosed in plexiglass boxes, each one capturing a moment in time, protected yet unreachable.
My paintings are both a response to and companion for her work. Together, they create a dialogue across time and memory, between mother and daughter.
